  • Yemen's Houthi rebels say supporting the Palestinians is a “religious and moral duty,” even as attacks from the United States and the United Kingdom target the group for its attacks on ships heading to Israel.
  • The Palestinian soccer team will play its first match in the Asian Cup in a context of war.
  • An overnight Israeli army strike hit a house in Rafah and killed 14 Palestinians, including a two-year-old girl. More than 100 Palestinians have been killed there in the last 24 hours.
  • Israel has carried out nighttime raids in several towns in the occupied West Bank, including al-Mazra'a al-Gharbiya, northwest of Ramallah; Biddya, west of Salfit; and Nablus. Israel also deployed bulldozers in Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

100 days of war

  • Pro-Palestine protests were held around the world, with the US capital Washington, DC recording the largest turnout yet.
  • Tel Aviv is also commemorating 100 days since the October 7 Hamas attack with a 24-hour event that began in Tel Aviv at 6:29 a.m., the start time of the attack.
  • “Nobody will stop us. Not The Hague,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a speech on the occasion of the 100 days of war in Gaza, referring to the genocide trial he faces at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
  • The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) renewed its calls for an end to the killings of journalists by the Israeli military as the war enters its 100th day.

Genocide trial

  • Namibia claimed Germany had failed to “draw lessons from its horrible history” by backing Israel at the ICJ, part of the hearings in which South Africa accused Tel Aviv of carrying out genocide against the Palestinians.
  • The ICJ concluded hearings in The Hague on Friday, where South Africa claimed “genocidal intent” against Israel in its war in Gaza, accusations Israel rejected as “defamation.”
