At least four people suffered gunshot wounds Sunday after an armed suspect opened fire outside a bar in Harlem, New York, and authorities launched an investigation into the matter, officials said.

The shooter remained at large and ran on foot after the shooting and investigators are searching the neighborhood for evidence.

Separately, authorities in Burnsville, Minnesota, reported that at least three police officers, including a paramedic, were shot to death after receiving reports of domestic abuse.

Governor Tim Walz expressed his grief and expressed support for the families of the victims.

According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), the shooter was also dead, without revealing the cause of his death.

In a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter, the Governor said authorities were “responding to a call from a family in danger.”

He also stated that other officials were also injured.

“We must never take for granted the bravery and sacrifices our first responders make every day,” Walz said in a statement on X.

“Today, the families of these public servants received the call they knew was possible but hoped would never come. My heart goes out to those grieving families – the state of Minnesota stands ready to support in any way we can. This is a tragic loss for our state.”
