This is according to Luca de Meo, CEO of Kering, which owns Gucci, in a conversation with Reuters, specifically saying that they will come out “probably next year, 2027.”
The smart glasses will be made in partnership with Google, so they will presumably run Android XR, an operating system that is so far only available on the Samsung Galaxy

It's not the first but it's not far behind either.
Some of these will likely land this year, so Gucci won't be the first out the door, but it probably won't be far behind, and de Meo explained that the brand plans to expand its eyewear division to help rebuild the Gucci brand, which has struggled a bit in recent years.
We don't know anything about these smart glasses yet, but they will surely be extremely expensive. Even smart specs that aren't made by luxury brands will likely come with a high price tag, so Gucci-branded ones may be essentially unattainable for many.
Still, its specs are unlikely to be better than Google- or Samsung-branded smart glasses; Instead, you'll pay for the name and perhaps the specific design or materials. So if Gucci is out of your price range, you probably won't miss out on too much.
