It is time to wake up from your slumber, dear reader, because The Sandman Season 2 just got an exciting cast update.
The next installment of Netflix’s hit fantasy series, which is still filming following its Covid-19-enforced hiatus, just added three curiously cool hires to play iconic characters Destiny, Delirium, and The Prodigal in late May. Less than two months later, nine more new faces have joined the cast, and there are more than a few familiar faces among the acclaimed show’s latest additions.

By The SandmanOn X/Twitter's account, season 2 will feature Ruairi O'Connor (The spell: the devil made me do it) as Orpheus, the son of Morpheus/Dream, who will once again be played by Tom Sturridge, and Calliope (Melissanthi Mahut), the protagonist of one of The Sandman Dream stories from the extra episodes of season 1.
One of the best second outings of Netflix shows will bring The SandmanThe version of the Norse gods and brothers Loki and Thor also comes to life with Freddie Fox (House of the Dragon season 2) and Laurence O'Fuarain (The Witcher: Origin of Blood) will play the God of Mischief and the God of Thunder respectively. Steve Coogan, best known to British audiences for his spoof portrayal of television characters in the chilling Alan Partridge, has been hired to lend his voice to Barnabas, the talking dog who accompanies The Prodigal/Destruction.
