It's good news for Bear season three fans, as they will be able to stream the new series a little sooner than expected. FX announced that The third season will premiere three hours earlier in the US, bringing the show's premiere forward to Wednesday, June 26 at 9pm ET/6pm PT on Hulu.
This means that disney plus will release all ten episodes of the third season internationally, including Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Gibraltar, the Balkans, Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Egypt and select Middle Eastern countries, on June 27, beginning with the UK at 2:00 BST and then in Australia at 11:00 AEST.
There's even more good news for binge-watchers, as all episodes will be released at once instead of every week. Earlier this year, FX Networks president John Landgraf told Deadline why each episode of season three will be released at the same time instead of milked over several weeks.
“When we came back for the second season, we asked ourselves if, since we knew we had been successful, we could build on it a little more. Could we spread it out over weeks? The more Bear, the better? So we thought it was a bad idea to change it for the audience. The way Chris does it, even though the episodes are separate, has a whole vibe each season, so we decided not to change what we had already put in place and I have no doubt that we will continue to do that because we did it in the past. Even if we could, I don’t think we would change it now,” he said.
The Bear season three: what we know so far
The third season of one of Hulu's best shows will once again follow tortured chef Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) as they work tirelessly to improve The Bear restaurant, which passed from a sandwich shop to a fancy restaurant in the second season. Carmy pushes herself harder than ever and demands excellence from his staff as they try to match his intensity.
The official plot synopsis for season three adds: “Their pursuit of culinary excellence will propel the crew to new levels and test the bonds that hold the restaurant together. As the team grows, each member will strive to achieve a higher level of service within their role.”
The third season is expected to answer some questions following the stressful season two finale, such as the future of Carmy and her girlfriend Claire's (Molly Gordon) relationship, whether the shiny new restaurant The Bear will be successful, and whether Carmy will have to pay back Uncle Jimmy's $300,000 loan.
