The One UI 7 beta release could be just a few days away, and the software is rumored to bring some major updates to older phones as well as newer devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6.
According to well-known tipster Ice Universe (via Android Authority), the upcoming software update has “significantly optimized” the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra's rear camera setup, bringing “improved clarity” to photos and videos.
According to recent leaks, One UI 7 will bring with it a fairly significant visual revamp, apparently partly inspired by iOS 18. Expect to see more rounded corners, smoother animations, and changes to the notification panel, among other updates.
We were already expecting improvements in camera performance with the One UI 6.1.1 update coming in August, but now it looks like that won't be the end of the camera optimizations on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The S24 Ultra, along with the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus, were only launched in January, but we've already seen numerous fixes and updates rolled out by Samsung, mostly focused on camera upgrades.
Issues with inaccurate white balance and abnormal red tint have already been fixed in previous Galaxy S24 Ultra updates, and that was after improvements in terms of shutter speed, video clarity, and exposure.
On the one hand, it would be nice if everything worked as well as possible the first time, but it's also nice to see Samsung putting in the effort to fix anything that's not up to par, even if it takes a few tries to get it right.
When exactly the One UI 7 update will appear remains to be seen, but we'll have to wait for One UI 6.1.1 to appear first. According to those in the know, One UI 7 is still very buggy, so it may be a while before it's available to everyone.
