- There may be several more from UI 7 betas before the final version reaches the Samsung Galaxy S24
- That could mean a launch in May
- Google could also announce Android 16 on May, which would make this update feel outdated
If you buy a phone in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, not only does it get a new hardware, you are also obtaining the last Samsung software in the form of an UI 7, and although some older phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 will be eventually updated, the Waiting could be a long one.
According to Leaker Tarun Vats, publishing in X, Samsung is planning the six -betas a whopping one 7 in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series before the finished version lands.
The third beta is now available, and Samsung has already confirmed that it aims to launch the fourth beta next week. But according to Vats, we will not see the fifth beta version until March, or the sixth beta until April, which could mean that the finished version will not be implemented until May.
Of course, we would take this with a pinch of salt, but another filter, @universeice, has affirmed that this schedule is necessary, so there is a great possibility that we really hope so much.
A great update that will soon be obsolete
With luck, this software update will be worth waiting. You can expect new functions of AI (although possibly not all the characteristics of AI found in the Samsung Galaxy S25), along with a redesigned home screen and a new camera interface, so there should be much to get stuck.
Even so, it is not only a long wait, but it would mean that an UI 7, which is based on Android 15, could reach the Samsung Galaxy S24 at the same time as Android 16 makes its debut. We hope that the next Android update will start at Google I/or 2025 on May 20 or latest in June.
This great update could feel immediately outdated if Android 15 arrives just in time to welcome Android 16.
