NYT Strands today (game #143): the answers
The answers to today's Strands game #143 are…
- SWEET
- POPCORN
- CHARACTERISTIC
- PROJECTOR
- TRAILERS
- SPANGRAM: CINE
- My rating: Moderate
- My score: 1 track
I can't decide if this is really easy and I just wasn't at my best, or if it's moderately difficult – I went with the latter, because the theme track was vague enough that I needed that track to get started.
That gave me CANDY, and aside from a brief flirtation with the idea that they might be actors (not helped by the fact that the word ACTOR could be formed on the grid), I was able to figure out the rest fairly quickly. POPCORN was the key; once I had it, it was blindingly obvious what the theme was, and I figured out the remaining solutions quickly afterward.
