Look, I know what you're going to say – How can I be? this Excited for an air fryer?
Well, when it comes time for Ninja to release a new game changer, I don't think you can blame me. At Shark Ninja's EMEA launch event, I got up close and personal with some of the lifestyle giant's latest and greatest products, but without a doubt, the new Ninja Double Stack Air Fryer is a cut above even some of the the best air fryers. In fact, if I had had enough room in my suitcase, I would have tried to pack it and take it home right there. (AN: I'm not prone to stealing)
Literally too, because this dual-zone air fryer stacks its two drawers on top of each other, saving valuable counter space while delivering the same delicious results and high capacity as some of the other air fryers. Ninja's dual zone.
Go to Dual Zone or go home
Let's take a quick break to explain the benefits of dual-zone oil-free fryers. Typically, with the exception of products like Ninja's 10.4L Dual Zone Air Fryer and its convertible MegaZone basket, this form factor features two adjacent baskets, allowing you to cook different dishes at the same time.
So by nature, these fryers end up being much wider than the smaller standard fryers that have gained popularity in recent years. While two-drawer air fryers are also increasingly popular, they are becoming increasingly larger as fryer technology stretches the limits of how much mini kitchens can heat while still promising faster times. faster cooking.
So for people like me with smaller kitchens, the Ninja Double Stack Fryer is an absolute game-changer, taking up much less space than its dual-zone competitors; and even some single basket options. While the smaller SL300 model's 7.6-liter capacity is spread across two baskets and may therefore be a little small for cooking larger cuts of meat and larger portions, the SL400 Double Stack Air Fryer 9.5 liters offers plenty of space.
What impressed me most was the inclusion of two additional oven racks, giving you even more verticality. I cook a batch of side dishes and tapas dishes in my air fryer, and having the option to keep them separate and provide an even crisp while preventing food from crowding will always offer better results.
The Ninja Double Stack fryer offers virtually the same features and functionality as the rest of the Ninja fryers, but it certainly looks different; and not only because of his height.
The machine's controls are mounted to the side of the drawers, which looks a little strange, but means you don't have to worry about the machine having clearance when in use. The machine is also short enough to fit most standard cabinet heights and is relatively lightweight if you still want to keep those counters clear.
Otherwise, the Double Stack air fryer offers the same benefits as Ninja's other mini cookers; non-stick ceramic coating, six different cooking modes (Air Fry, Max Crisp, Roast, Bake, Reheat and Dehydrate) and the ability to synchronize cooking times in its two drawers.
The Ninja Double Stack Air Fryer isn't available yet and we don't have any pricing information yet either, but we'll be sure to get the news as soon as it arrives, along with updates on everyone else. Shark Ninja products announced this week. Given the number of people I talk to who say the only reason they don't have an air fryer is because of the space required, I wouldn't be surprised if this was a sold-out product, so stay tuned to TechRadar for the latest.
