Deadpool and Wolverine Star Emma Corrin “would love” to lend her voice to Cassandra Nova in a future season of X-Men 97.
In an exclusive interview with TechRadar at the UK premiere of the Marvel film, Corrin (who uses “they” pronouns) revealed that they would be incredibly open to the possibility of playing the menacing villain in a future Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) project. That includes a future installment of X-Men 97the sequel to the beloved 90s show X-Men: The Animated Series and whose first season received much praise on Disney Plus earlier this year.
At the time of writing this (July 24), the only people who know whether Nova lives or dies in Deadpool and Wolverine Those are the lucky ones who were lucky enough to have attended the world premiere of Marvel's Phase 5 film and/or attended an exclusive press screening. However, I couldn't help but ask Corrin if they'd be willing to reprise their X-Men character in a different Marvel production. Judging by their response, it's something they're very eager to do.
“Absolutely,” they said. “I would honestly love to. It's been a real pleasure getting to know her on this film and I feel like there's so much more to explore. I think her origin story, as well as her relationship with her brother, is really interesting.” [Charles Xavier/Professor X] “It's something that has potential, there's a lot that could be done with it. That relationship is kind of the elephant in the room in this movie, but I think what we explored sets the stage for deeper exploration elsewhere. It's a really fun character to explore, so yeah, I'm open to whatever.”
Will Cassandra Nova appear in X-Men Season 2 97?
Full spoilers follow. X-Men 97 season 1.
We don't know, but I think it's incredibly unlikely that it will appear in X-Men 97 Season 2. The main plot of the second chapter of this popular program took place in X-Men 97The Season 1 finale of 's, with En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse installed as one of the next big baddies of Disney Plus' best shows.
Timing-wise, it would have made sense for Nova to appear in Season 2 in some capacity. Maybe not from a narrative perspective, but, given that Nova is set to become a household name after…Deadpool 3It might have been a good idea for Marvel to capitalize on her appearance in the MCU's 34th film and feature her in the latest X-Men animated series.
There's a good chance he'll make a brief cameo at the end of Season 2, especially in one of Marvel's famous post-credits scenes. But, with Marvel's head of television Brad Winderbaum revealing, X-Men 97 With post-production on Season 2 so far underway, it's highly unlikely there will be a chance to introduce Nova if fans clamor for her inclusion.
Still, Winderbaum also told Entertainment Weekly that X-Men 97 There's already been talk of Season 3 internally, perhaps she'll appear there instead, and maybe, just maybe, Corrin is on board to lend her voice to the villain in another MCU project. I certainly have my fingers crossed.
