The Geekom A7 Max is a high-quality mini PC built around the mini power of the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS. It is an ideal machine for a variety of tasks such as coding and running Office software.
What we really loved about the A7 Max was the sheer connectivity. Port selection includes dual 2.5GbE LAN, dual 40Gbps USB4 ports, and dual HDMI outputs, making it a flexible choice for desktops.
However, we found that the single memory module limits its potential. Now, that may not be a problem for many everyday users, but for those who need to increase performance, we absolutely recommend upgrading that 16GB RAM for greater efficiency (supports up to 64GB).
While the A7 Max deal is a great buy, the Geekom A9 Max 2026 edition is the best option for anyone who wants maximum performance, and the HX 370 and HX 470 models get a discount in the Geekom deal. It also supports upgrades and eGPU, for those looking to upgrade the mini PC even further.
After testing this newly released machine, we called it “exceptionally powerful” and found it to be a great choice for process-heavy workloads without needing a full desktop workstation. We gave it 4.5 stars in our review, with a Highly recommended grant.
Meanwhile, the Geekom A5 remains one of our perennial favorites. It's not a top-spec machine, but we've reviewed the latest model and, for office tasks, web browsing, and all the basics general users need from a mini PC, it delivers everything for the price.
