Anthropic has announced the launch of a business-focused plan for Claude, its family of large language models, which it hopes will provide large enterprises with a useful boost to productivity and collaboration.
The new Enterprise plan will offer a 500K context window, increased capacity, and integration with GitHub to support codebase work with Claude.
Claude for Enterprise also addresses many of the challenges and reservations that businesses face in terms of security, privacy and compliance.
Anthropic launches the Claude Enterprise plan
Claude Enterprise, which is very attractive to large organizations, supports single sign-on (SSO) and domain capture for improved and centralized user management, along with role-based access and permissions tuning. The company has also confirmed that it is working on audit logs and SCIM, which are expected to arrive “in the coming weeks.”
Claude Enterprise also enables businesses to process massive amounts of data with the power of generative AI: Anthropic says the 500K context window equates to hundreds of sales transcripts.
Additionally, integration with Microsoft-owned GitHub allows engineers and developers to sync repositories with Claude. The functionality is planned to roll out more broadly later this year, but early users of the Enterprise plan will have access to the beta version.
Combined with Projects and Artifacts, Anthropic hopes Claude will become the “ultimate one-stop solution to help… [teams] “Taking any initiative, from the idea to the final result of a high-quality work.”
Pricing for Claude Enterprise has not been disclosed, likely because costs will vary depending on use cases and company size.
However, with the launch of its new business-focused plan, Anthropic is clearly hoping to compete with generative AI giant ChatGPT, which also has an Enterprise subscription. ChatGPT now has one million paying users on its books. As of early April, the company was believed to have roughly 600,000 Enterprise users.
