When is Amazon Prime Day 2026 in Australia?
Amazon's Australian Prime Day 2026 sale, which will take place at the same time as last year, begins at midnight East Coast time on Tuesday, July 7, and will run for seven days. That means Prime Day vacuum cleaner deals will end at 11:59pm AEST on Monday 13 July 2026.
What kind of Prime Day vacuum deals can I expect?
If you've ever shopped on Amazon, you know that there are always a ton of vacuum cleaner deals to choose from. From budget, unbranded options to big bets like Shark and Dyson, there's something for everyone, but the good news is that I've seen over 65% off various vacuums. In fact, prices have often fallen by as much as 71%, but that is rare.
To break this down a bit further, I've seen Dyson stick vacuums for half price, while Shark's offerings may not come in as low, but given their already affordable prices, the value you get is exceptional.
You'll also see great discounts on Ecovacs' Deebots and Dreame's top-rated robovacs, but keep an eye out for Roborock deals. It's true that corded barrel and upright vacuum cleaners aren't that popular, but some homes are well served by them, and there will be plenty to choose from between the Miele and Shark.
Tineco's wet and dry floor washers are also getting big discounts during Prime Day, which bodes well for those of you who have hard floors throughout your home: They'll vacuum and mop at the same time, saving you time, but they're heavy machines.
Dyson vs Shark: which should you buy during Prime Day?
The answer to the Dyson vs Shark debate depends on what exactly you are looking for. For example, if you want a corded machine, Dyson doesn't make uprights, so you should opt for a Shark.
However, if you're thinking about a cordless stick vacuum, you can't go wrong either, although some Dyson vacuums are more powerful than the Shark, such as the Gen5detect with its 280 AW of suction which no Shark offers. The more expensive Dysons also offer up to 70 minutes of run time, while most Sharks max out at 60 minutes.
That said, Shark vacuum cleaners, even at full price, are cheaper and, given their performance, have always been some of the best vacuums in Australia. That means you get good value from a shark.
So work out what your budget is and if power is really important, then decide if you should go for a Shark or a Dyson.

That's a resounding yes from me, as Amazon tends to have the best discounts on robot vacuums of any Australian retailer. Others would normally try to match Amazon in this case.
It is important to note that the variety of brands sold on Amazon is also quite high: from Ecovacs to Roborock, from Dreame to Eureka. So if you're interested in a new robovac, definitely check out the deals on Amazon during Prime Day, as there are usually some record-breaking deals available.
