This is all is undoubtedly the big kahuna of Michael Jackson documentaries, especially since it is one of the last images we have of the star.
Let's set the stage. It's the summer of 2009 and Jackson was set to make a spectacular comeback at London's O2 arena. But just weeks before it happened, he died.
The documentary, directed by the man who was to choreograph the long-awaited concert, “offers a look into the preparations for the shows and provides a revealing portrait of the man behind the controversy.”

On a more sinister note, Michael Jackson: The Trial explores the singer's child abuse trial in 2005. Divided into four episodes, it examines the accusations made by Gavin Arvizo, the intense media circus and the eventual acquittal of all charges.

Leaving Neverland (2019)

Possibly the most famous of all, Leaving Neverland It shocked everyone when it was released in 2019. The docu-series follows Jackson's long-standing relationships with two boys, ages 7 and 10, and their families.
When they were 30 years old at the time of filming, they tell the story of how they were allegedly sexually abused by the singer. Rated “crucial but careful,” Leaving Neverland is the rawest look at Jackson's abuse allegations.
In 2025, sequel series. Leaving Neverland 2: Surviving Michael Jackson was released, although critics criticized it for trying (and failing) to recreate the impact of the first installment.
Michael Jackson: The Legend Continues (1989)
Ending on a high note, Michael Jackson: The legend continues It has been praised by fans of his music for being the best documentary capturing the impact of his career. Published in 1989, this was long before Jackson's allegations came to light.
