You can always expect an Instagram-worthy moment at a Susan Fang show.
For fall 2024, the designer conjured up a giant net weaving in and out of soapy water with fans blowing bubbles. The models walked among themselves on the catwalk in a fantastic mix of ruffles, beads, chiffon and puffer jackets. This scenario was inspired by the scene of jellyfish migrating en masse in the ocean.
Fang said his idea for the collection came from the concept of home. There was sadness for those who lived in war-torn lands and longed for peace, but also incomparable joy because she had just married her husband, an engineer.
The final look, a short wedding dress made of organza ribbons arranged in a net, was the actual dress she wore. It was designed by her mother, who has been closely involved in developing unique textile techniques for the brand.
Overall, the pastel colors, feminine shapes, and floral embroidery were charming and conveyed her desire for a peaceful world. Her items from her Victoria's Secret capsule were organically combined with her signature sheer dresses and cute knits in gradient tones. The show also featured 13 pairs of experimental sneakers in collaboration with Nike.
