Mille Bags kept popping up on my Instagram feed, so of course I looked like I couldn’t resist a classic top handle bag. Mille Bags UK, formerly Handbags Resort, is known for its luxury knock-offs and has some of the best knock-off Hermès bags (not fakes). It’s hard to beat an original Hermès bag, but they’re hard on the credit card and even harder to come by. They have quite a few size, style, and color options, but I ended up with the Mille Bags Celine Vegan Leather Bag in Red. Since I don’t have a bright red flap bag, it’s the color of the season, and I wanted to try their vegan leather. Here is my honest, non-sponsored Mille Bags review and experience with this UK bag company.

Mille Bag Review | Celine Unpacking
From the moment I took it out of the box I was impressed with how well packaged it was. The straps were covered in plastic, there were protective rubber caps on the feet and locking loop, and there were protective stickers on all the gold hardware. There was also a plastic bag stuffer that I will save to help keep its shape.
Mille Bag Review | Details of the Celine vegan bag
The details of this bag, including the shape, lock, and leather shoulder strap, make it a timeless top handle bag. It’s one of the best Hermès Kelly bags I’ve seen and it also comes in many more color options including green, black, sand, pink, aqua and sky.
The Celine bag from Mille Bags (formerly Handbags Resort) comes in 2 sizes, 20cm and 25cm, but I chose the larger size to have more options and also because I tend to carry my life with me.

- The interior has 1 open pocket and a zipper pocket.
- Size 25 cm/9.84” (also comes in smaller size 20 cm/7.87”). Both are big enough for your phone.
Ways to Carry Your Top Handle Zipper Bags
I love that this style can be worn as a top handle, shoulder bag, or crossbody and that it’s big enough for day and small enough for night. The shoulder strap is detachable if you prefer not to use it.
Vegan alternatives to Hermès bags
There is currently no vegan Hermès Birkin or Kelly bag. The only vegan Hermès bag is the classic Victoria travel bag. This is a vegan leather alternative made from mushrooms, making it a sustainable and eco-friendly option. So if you’re vegan, you might appreciate the Celine Mille bag as a vegan alternative to an Hermès bag. Which is not only a fraction of the price but cruelty free. Even though it is vegan leather, it still has that new car real leather smell.
Just to clarify that fakes and replicas are illegal, these bags are not! These bags are similar to the Hermès bag style, but they are definitely not fake. There is no fake Hermès name or logo.
While there are advantages and disadvantages to choosing vegan leather, some of the benefits include the fact that there is no livestock involved in vegan leather. It is cruelty-free, does not contribute to over-farming or deforestation, and causes lower carbon emissions in its production.
Mille Bag Review | How much does shipping cost and how fast is it?
Mille Bags offers free international shipping and says your item should be delivered within 10 days. I ordered my Mille Bag on December 21st and it arrived on December 29th. So 8 days total, which I don’t think is bad at all for international shipping during the Christmas holidays. Although there are some reviews that say it took longer.

Always check the Mille Bags banner at the top of their website as they often run sales. I got my red vegan Celine bag for 25% off over Christmas with the discount code XMAS25, making it great value for money.
Are Mille Lux bags worth it?
In my opinion they are worth it. Does leather feel as luxurious as an expensive designer bag? No. Is it great value for money? Yes. If you want a stylish top handle bag, this is a great and affordable option. Now I want the super cute real leather mini in blue to compare the vegan leather to real leather.
Are Mille bags legit?
In my experience, yes, they are legit. Mine arrived in the 10 days it said and the color was true to what they had shown. Some other Mille bag reviews from when it was Handbags Resort say otherwise, but my entire shopping experience was perfect.
Where is Mille Bags located?
Their website doesn’t say where they are located. Mille Bags has an English phone number and address on their “Contact Us” page, but their bags and products ship from mainland China.
