Manchester City's Erling Haaland wins Premier League Golden Boot

Erling Haaland won the Premier League Golden Boot for the second consecutive season after scoring 27 goals in Manchester City's title-winning campaign.

City sealed their fourth consecutive league title this Sunday after beating West Ham 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium and finishing two points ahead of Arsenal, who won their last game of the season against Everton.

While Haaland has not been able to replicate his goalscoring exploits from the previous season, in which he scored 36 league goals, his 27 goals this season saw him comfortably beat Cole Palmer (22) in the race for the Golden Boot.

The Norway international has received criticism for some of his performances this season, most notably from former Manchester United captain Roy Keane, who called him a “League Two player” following City's goalless draw against Arsenal in April. .

Responding to Keane's comments, City manager Pep Guardiola praised Haaland as the “best striker in the world”.
