How dodgers can be heroes of forest fires: stop school for fossil fuels

To the editor: I spit my coffee reading that Governor Gavin Newsom has taken advantage of Mark Walter and Magic Johnson, both part of the Dodgers owned group, to help lead a new fire recovery effort.

According to the reports, Walter, its Foundation and the La Dodgers Foundation will provide up to $ 100 million to boost fund collection for this impulse. There is no shadow in that. But everyone has it back.

This group, that is, the property of the Dodgers, is Chelín for an oil giant, Phillips 66, which is contributing to the climate change that worsened one of the most expensive disasters in the modern history of the United States.

Phillips 66 has the 76 gas mark, whose logo is throughout the Dodger stadium. It is an atrocious green washing act for mortal fossil fuel.

As much as angels appreciate generosity, the Dodgers organization needs to stop supporting a taxpayer to the cause of the disaster that is now helping to mop. It is extreme hypocritical and positions Dodgers as part of the factors that make our fires so extreme.

Dodgers need to drop the pHillips 66 sponsorship now. He is looking at her while she grieves.
