Editor's letters: 'Aligator Alcatraz' is 'Trump's monument to misery and inhumanity'

To the editor: I scramble the photo of the smiling visitors who show a thumb in front of President Trump's monument to misery and inhumanity, the so -called “Alcatraz” detention center (Alcatraz “(“The deportation flights of the 'Alcatraz' detention Center of Aligator de Florida have begun, says Desantis,” “ July 25). How many people became derogatory and indifferent about rights, both human and those enshrined in the constitution of this previously large country? Shame for us. This is happening on our clock.

To the editor: Regarding the photo of a couple happily posing in front of the “Aligator Alcatraz” sign, I know that the comparison is not completely fair, but I could not help imagining what it would be like to see the same scene in the 1940s, with a happy couple in front of one of the German concentration camps.

Is well documented that most people swept immigration raids do not have criminal convictions and that raids are directed to businesses and churches; It is not about catching hardened criminals. It is also well documented That the Florida installation has insufficient, even inhuman conditions (and would suggest that not Americans), with a name and location chosen on purpose for hardness.

That people can do everything possible to proudly support an installation that is not up to the standards of a prison, designed as a retention pen for non -criminals collected in Home Depot and its neighborhood church; This will be another shameful part of American history.
