Editor letters: a solid recommendation for community schools at the beginning of a race

To the editor: I was interested in reading about the handsome investment that community schools provide to their students (“These community schools in the area are the best return on investment, shows the study.” September 16). At the beginning of the 1980s, after serving in the peace body, I returned home and decided to study an engineering title. A very intelligent advisor (my younger sister) told me to take my lower division classes at a community university. Then, I attended Los Angeles City College and I had a series of brilliant and dedicated teachers for physics, chemistry and mathematics.

I went to California State University Northridge to finish my title and then enjoyed a long and satisfactory race in the Los Angeles Water and Power Department. I cannot recommend community universities with enough force.
