The Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, said on Monday that the White South Africans who face threats of violence would be welcome in the United States.

Rubio's position occurs in the midst of tension between the South African government and the Trump administration on the land expropriation law of that country and its anti-Israel position.

In a publication about X, Rubio referred to “Mill The Boer”, an old anti-Apartheid song that critics say it is a call to anti-white violence and has been used to refer to white farmers.

“South Africa's leaders and politicians must take measures to protect Afrikaner and other disadvantaged minorities,” Rubio wrote on Monday. “The United States is proud to offer people who qualify our nation for admission in the midst of this horrible threat of violence.”

The Trump administration has rejected the South Africa Expropriation Law, as well as its position against Israel.

The land expropriation law allows the Government to make land seizures without compensation. In February, Trump issued an executive order that penalizes South Africa.

“In the shocking contempt for the rights of its citizens, the Republic of South Africa recently promulgated the 1324 expropriation law, to allow the South Africa government to seize the agricultural property of ethnic minorities Afrikaners without compensation,” the order establishes.

In addition, South Africa has accused Israel in the International Court of Justice to commit genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The country is also approaching with Iran, with plans to develop commercial, military and nuclear arrangements.

Earlier this month, Rubio announced that the South Africa ambassador to the United States was no longer welcome in the country. In a publication about X, Rubio called Embrahim Rasool a politician “that scores” that hates the United States and Trump.

Rasool went to the Institute of Strategic Reflection of Mapuungbwe (Mistra) in Johannesburg when he said that Trump's Make America Great Movement Again a white supremacist response to demographic changes in the United States in response, Rubio declared the ambassador “Person Non Grata”, which means not welcome.
