Zendaya's silver robot suit is from Mugler's 20th anniversary collection, Cirque d'hiver.
The look imagined by Law Roach, Zendaya's outfit, was from couturier Thierry Mugler's fall/winter 1995 haute couture collection.
The world premiere of Dune Part 2 has been a revolutionary moment in fashion for actress Zendaya. Topping every press look, dreamed up by her stylist and dear friend Law Roach, Zendaya's ensemble was a jaw-dropping moment. The versatile actress and style icon appeared at the world premiere of her film, Dune Part 2, in an archival Thierry Mugler piece, The Robot Suit.
Zendaya brought to life couturier Manfred Thierry Mugler's 20th anniversary Fall Winter 1995-1996 collection, Cirque d'hiver. The metallic silhouette with cut-out details best describes Mugler's love of fashion and fantasy.
The silver robot suit, which was designed by the late couturier for his runway show in 1995, was accessorized by Zendaya with a sparkly touch. Zendaya paired the robot suit with an exquisite Bulgari diamond necklace.
Law Roach, the brand's official Instagram account, took to Instagram to describe the archival piece. He said: “@zendaya wears the silver robot from the Cirque d'hiver 20th Anniversary Mugler Fall Winter 1995-1996 collection at the London premiere of Dune Part 2.”
In 1995, Mugler presented this futuristic cyborg suit on the runway in quite dramatic fashion. The model walked the ramp, stripping down to reveal the silver robot suit. As iconic as the designer, Zendaya definitely did justice to the art and the artist. While her original look featured a headpiece, Zendaya decided to skip it and instead styled her hair into a sleek bun.
The Dune star then changed into a classic and comfortable black dress that looked like something out of a painting and paired it with some vintage Bulgari jewelry.
Zendaya has had some of the best looks on the press tour and we can't get enough. While the world premiere look has to be the winner, Zendaya's stylish wardrobe has seen some of the top designers and brands celebrate her stunning personality. From Alaia's white wrap dress to Roksanda's deep purple power suit, Zendaya's every look has been a powerhouse of grace and glamour.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the sci-fi film stars Timothee Chalmet, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor-Joy, Rebecca Ferguson, Christopher Walken, Lea Seydoux, Dave Bautista, Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem, among others.
