You know a Celina Rodríguez joint when you see one. The creative director brings a dreamlike quality and close reading to her collaborations with Trippie Redd, Amber Liu or Lauren Jauregui, allowing us to enter the worlds of these artists through a dose of warm intimacy. There's a knowing quality to Rodriguez's creative direction, a familiarity that his fellow Los Angeles natives will quickly pick up on, whether it's his work on the remake of the Adidas Forum with JD Sports US that featured José Polio standing among a row of Iconic palm trees wrapped in layers. under that L.A. light, or a memorable Born Rodriguez's ability to connect with the familiar as she shifts expectations and leans into contrast is something the world can't stop watching.

Rodriguez, who describes herself as a sentimental Cancer sun, is letting her inner child lead the way in terms of inspiration this season. And if you really want to show her your love, you will prepare a homemade meal or share your energy.

Name, occupation, neighborhood: Celina Rodríguez, creative director, Los Angeles.

My mantra for the end of the year is: EARN YOUR MAINTENANCE.

The gift I would buy myself that matches my astrological sign: As a Cancer sun, I will never have enough books, candles or vinyl.

The Los Angeles designer/brand I wore the most this year: I mainly use vintage pieces/band merchandise. However, I use Incorporated a lot.

The garment/outfit in my closet that I consider to be great art: An authentic vintage Doors/Jim Morrison shirt that I found in a random bin at a thrift store.

My happy place in Los Angeles: The observatory.

What's been in my online shopping cart for months: Nothing; I don't shop online.

One of my most prized possessions that I'm giving away this season: I have a fairly large collection of postcards dating back to the 1920s. [through] from the 60s, and I love giving them to people on birthdays, holidays, etc. They all mean a lot to me, but it means even more when I want to share them with the people I love.

The best way to show me love this season: Cook for me! I am very sentimental. A home-cooked meal and shared energy mean a lot to me.

The fanzine/book/article on my coffee table that I want people to see: My Teen Angels collection.

I will never stop swinging my sneakers. I will always be a sneakerhead.

The cause or organization I am currently supporting: FREE PALESTINE!!! UNTIL IT'S BACKWARDS!!!

“All Eyes on Me” by Tupac It's the energy I'm in creatively right now.

I am planning a shoot in 2024 with Stussy.

The place where I will eat non-stop in Los Angeles for the rest of the year: Cha Cha Chicken! Iykyk.

The person, place or thing that inspires me the most lately: My inner child. This year I have realized that I am truly living the life I manifested as a child. Collating magazine clippings and crafts on my walls as a child is not so separate from my process of writing treatments or making decks now. I am truly inspired by the things I loved then and allow myself to re-experience them now.

The color I'm dreaming/obsessing about this week: My color obsessions tend to last a while, so currently it's yellow.

The 2023 crash that I missed and that still haunts me: Nothing. I haven't been very impressed with the declines in 2023.

For the rest of 2023, I will smell like: ABUNDANCE!
