Justin and Hailey Bieber finally welcomed their baby.
The excited couple announced the birth of their first child on Instagram with a snap of his tiny foot wrapped in a fluffy blanket. “WELCOME HOME. Jack Blues Bieber,” the “Lonely” singer said in his Aug. 24 post, which his wife of four years reposted on her story.
Justin and Hailey chose their son's moniker to honor a long-standing family tradition of keeping the initials, “JB.” The 30-year-old's father, Jeremy Bieber, follows the custom, as does his half-sister Jazmyn, 16, and half-brother Jaxon, 14. However, Justin's two other siblings — stepsister Allie, 17, and half-sister Bay, 5 — have names that don't follow the same pattern.
According to a People According to one report, the initials “JB” have stuck around far beyond Justin's immediate family to include generations of Biebers. While the couple didn't have to continue the tradition, they decided to do so with their firstborn like Justin's father did with him. What's more, the “Never Say Never” vocalist named Jack after his father's middle name.
Justin has been open about how important family is to him for years and mentioned that he wanted to start his own with Hailey in 2021. “Late 2021?” the beauty mogul clarified, to which Justin replied, “Maybe we’ll start trying.”
The “One Time” hitmaker saw his dream come true earlier this year when Hailey found out she was pregnant. In May, the celebrity duo revealed the big news in a joint Instagram post.
On May 9, black-and-white footage of the Biebers renewing their vows in a green field was shared online. Hailey was seen cradling her baby bump in a long white lace dress with a matching fabric wrapped around her head. Justin was caught snapping photos of his partner as she pushed out her baby bump. Friends and family were quick to comment, congratulating them on the news and praising their bond.
Along with a heart emoji, Kourtney Kardashian wrote: “Blessing.”
“I'm so, so, so happy for you guys,” Ariana Greenblatt said, while Khloe Kardashian added, “I love you guys!!!! I'm so, so, so happy for you two. We're all so excited for the baby!!!!”
Fans flooded the post with shocked messages about how far along Hailey was in her pregnancy, admitting they couldn't believe she was able to hide the pregnancy for so long.
Talking with W MagazineIn July, Hailey confessed that she was able to hide her baby bump easily for the first six months because “it stayed small for a long time.”
As of now, details of Jack Bieber's birth have yet to be revealed, with a representative for Hailey telling the Associated Press that no further details could be shared.
