Last weekend, the “Cruel Summer” singer’s record-breaking Eras Tour continued its international leg in Australia, with Swift performing three consecutive concerts at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The stadium made Eras Tour history for hosting the largest number of attendees at an Eras Tour concert, with 96,000 fans celebrating in a single night.

In a viral TikTok video posted earlier this week, a Melbourne concertgoer on the Eras Tour filmed a father dressed as a mirror ball, a nod to Swift's song “Mirrorball” from her album. Folklore.

The dad in question was wearing a silver fringed T-shirt and a shiny disco scale cap atop his seemingly bald head. As he climbed a steep staircase in the nosebleed section, his fellow Swifties greeted him with cheers and praise and some filmed him for his creative attire. A medley of Swift songs that included her “Getaway Car.” Reputation album and “Style” of 1989 can be heard in the background.

In the caption of the video, TikTok user Sarah (@sar.huh_) wrote: “IF I WANTED I WOULD DO IT! Dad's goals. The video has since garnered more than 220,000 likes on the platform.

In response to the video, many praised the father for committing to the outfit and embracing his inner Swiftie.

Another person added: “As a new Swiftie, what I love most is the acceptance and celebration of people simply showing up for themselves and others. “Creativity and passion.”

“This moment made his night!” wrote her daughter Miah Louise (@miahlouise8) in the comments section. “I was very excited. Thank you all for being so kind. He is the father of the Swifties.” Sarah replied: “He made our night, every parent must be this level of amazed.”

Louise also posted a video of her dad reacting to the Swifties' kindness, seemingly amazed by the reaction he was inspiring. The Swifties could be seen shaking their fists and whistling, cheering him on as he walked up the stairs and occasionally bowing. She captioned the video: “Mirrorball has entered the chat.”

His video received more than 110,000 likes on the platform, with many commenters saying that his father is “the moment.”

Another person wrote that they had also taken a video of it and said: “OMG, stop it. I took a video of it, the best thing I've ever seen in my life, it literally made me so happy.”

After performing in Melbourne, the “Anti-Hero” singer has taken the Eras Tour to Sydney for the next stop on her world tour, where she will perform four shows at Accor Stadium.
