Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant look like royalty in Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Anamika Khanna ensembles at their reception.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding festivities were filled with music, dance, joy and love. Mukesh and Nita Ambani celebrated Anant and Radhika's special moment with a series of festivities leading up to their big day.
Following the wedding ceremony, the Mangal Utsav reception, hosted for their family, friends and a host of celebrities, was attended by numerous guests from across the globe. From the couple’s blessing to participating in an evening of soulful music, each celebration was a perfect blend of royalty and culture.
The festivities were further celebrated with Indian craftsmanship taking centre stage in the ensembles worn by the Ambani family. They were designed by some of India’s finest creative designers including Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Anamika Khanna, Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi among others.
On July 15, during the reception, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant wore regal ensembles designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Anamika Khanna respectively. Anant wore a navy blue sherwani that was delicately handcrafted with multi-coloured resham and zardozi hand embroidery. The back of the garment featured the couple in bird motifs in a stunning visual design hand-woven with threads. The earthy tones of the resham embroidery were infused with the shimmer of the golden zardozi, creating a masterpiece that is both personal and precious.
Radhika exuded grace in a couture gown by Anamika Khanna. The lavender and gold palette of the ensemble complemented Radhika’s demure persona. The traditional draping and intricate embroidery and embellishments on the outfit made it a standout piece that resonated with the extravagant vibe of the reception.
Every ensemble worn by the Ambani women was a masterclass in traditional attire. Nita Mukesh Ambani, an epitome of grace and elegance, looked ethereal in a Manish Malhotra ensemble. Creating history once again with her love for Indian craftsmanship, the ensemble celebrated both Manish’s traditional and designer aesthetics with panache.
Isha had a golden moment at her brother, Anant’s reception in a lovely floral lehenga. The intricate golden zari embroidery on the ensemble added an alluring glow to her overall traditional look.
Isha Ambani also wore a divine ivory Sabyasachi 3D floral lehenga set inspired by JG Ballard’s The Garden of Time, which was also the theme of this year’s MET Gala 2024, at the reception on July 14. And for the Shubh Aashirward ceremony on July 13, Isha dazzled in a pristine white silk woven brocade lehenga. The ensemble was embellished with royal silver zardozi embroidery. She paired the lehenga with a woven brocade blouse and a pure white silk dupatta.
Capturing tradition through alluring silhouettes, each ensemble adorned by the Ambani family has set a beautiful tone for the wedding season.
