Javed Akhtar celebrated his 79th birthday yesterday and the party was held at Anil Kapoor's house in Mumbai. Many prominent names from the industry were on the guest list including Shabana Azmi, Farhan Akhtar, Shibani Dandekar, Zoya Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor, Anand Ahuja, Boney Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and others. While everyone was dressed up for the party, Sonam and Anand Ahuja stole the show, dressed in trendy outfits.
Paparazzi captured Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja arriving at Javed Akhtar's birthday party last night. Sonam was dressed in a black outfit that included an oversized jacket and straight pants. The jacket has padded shoulders, long sleeves, a plunging neckline, a front button fastening, side pockets and a relaxed fit, while the trousers are high-rise with cropped hems. Sonam's power suit was upgraded to a chic party suit with exaggerated tassel embellishments on the shoulders and pants.
Sonam completed the look with black loafers, bold rings, gold earrings and a small top-handle bag embellished in shiny silver. Ultimately, she opted for smoky eyeshadow, feathery brows, kohl-lined eyes, mascara on her lashes, blush on her cheeks, a mocha brown lip tint, and a dewy foundation. Sonam completed her party look with a sleek center-parted bun.
Anand complemented his wife in a tan suit that featured a notch lapel, open front, long sleeves and slim fit jacket. A fitted black polo shirt, tan straight leg pants, black dress shoes and a graying beard completed the look.
A few days ago, Sonam Kapoor shared some pictures of Anand sporting a stunning ethnic outfit. Sonam wore a gorgeous ensemble from Ritu Kumar's collection. Her attire consists of an intricately designed khaki saree with bright green patti borders, sequin embellishments and a richly embroidered border. Sonam styled the saree with a vertical striped blouse with aari and tikki hand embroidery in rustic shades of brown and green, round neckline, puff sleeves, fitted cuffs and loose fit. She completed the ensemble with a black silk velvet jacket with twisted zari. Anand accessorized his wife in a plain brown jacket and white kurta combo. The brown jacket featured stone buttons, a pocket square and a brooch.
Sonam and Anand tied the knot in a traditional ceremony on May 8, 2018. On the professional front, the actress recently appeared in Shome Makhija's film Blind.
