Sonakshi Sinha opted for a teal anarkali set by Ridhi Mehra for her first Ganesh Chaturthi with Zaheer Iqbal. The couple wore matching outfits.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal celebrated their first Ganesh Chaturthi as a married couple last night. For the occasion, the couple celebrated the festival at Salman Khan's residence. They were joined by Salman Khan, Salim Khan, Arpita Khan Sharma, Alvira Agnihotri, Arbaaz Khan, Arhaan Khan and Sohail Khan along with their children Nirvan and Yohan Khan. The couple stole the show in their matching outfits that became the centre of attention in the city.

Sonakshi Sinha was seen in a traditional teal-blue anarkali suit. The suit featured silver zardozi and intricate hand embroidery. With full sleeves, the anarkali kurta had a modern slit at the waist. The fitted upper bodice had a V-neckline and perfectly accentuated her curves. She paired the kurta with a matching lehenga. She completed this Ridhi Mehra look with a matching net dupatta that had a detailed silver embroidery border.

Sinha was styled by her sister-in-law, Sanam Ratansi. For accessories, she opted for a pair of oxidised silver jhumkas with a blue acrylic painted design, her solitaire ring and an ivory potli bag. She got her makeup right with a sun-kissed look, defined brows, brown eyeshadow, kohl-lined eyes, dramatic lashes, blush, bindi and nude brown lipstick. She left her hair loose in waves.

The actor was perfectly complemented by Zaheer Iqbal who opted for a kurta pyjama set in shades of white and blue with a gradient effect. The look featured a straight cut kurta and matching pyjama. He completed the look with a sleeveless vest set which gave the outfit a well-fitted look.

Sinha shared snippets of her Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations on her Instagram. The video showed her performing the aarti with her husband. Sharing the video, she wrote, “Love grows in respect when a couple honours each other’s beliefs in true harmony… Our first Ganpati after shaadi.”

Sinha and Iqbal tied the knot in June this year in a civil ceremony held in the presence of their family and friends in Mumbai. The couple had started dating in 2017.
