Sawan 2024: Know the timing and importance of Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga

The holy month of Sawan is about to begin today, July 22. This month is considered special for worshipping Lord Shiva. This year, there are five Mondays in this auspicious month, which provides a special opportunity for devotees to perform special rituals to worship Lord Shiva. Monday is believed to be the day of Lord Shiva. In this month, special rituals and pujas are held in temples to please the Lord. The first Monday of the month of Sawan falls on July 22, while the last Monday falls on August 19. Performing the rituals and pujas with full devotion on Sawan is believed to yield good results. This year, there are several other auspicious occasions to be celebrated in the months of Sawan. The occasions are Preeti Yoga, Ayushman Yoga, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Shiva Vasa Yoga, and Karana Yoga. To mark this auspicious occasion, all preparations for celebrating special rituals are in full swing at major Shiva temples across the country. Special arrangements are made in such areas to ensure that devotees do not face any problems while worshipping Lord Shiva.

In an interview with Local 18, Pandit Kamlesh Vyas mentioned that this month is one of the most sacred months of the year. This year, the auspicious Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga falls in this month. He mentioned that performing special rituals during this yoga brings about the desired result. This yoga will be commemorated on the first day of the month. He added that Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga is also believed to be auspicious for worshipping Goddess Lakshmi.

Shiva temples around the city of Bhilwara in Rajasthan are being thoroughly cleaned and decorated with lights. Special arrangements are said to have been made at the famous Harni Mahadev temple.
