Actress Radhika Apte walked for designer Vaishali Shadangule's show during Paris Haute Couture Week. Radhika Apte looked stunning in two stunning ensembles, which took over two months to create.

Vaishali Shadangule's eponymous brand, Vaishali S, presented its new Fall/Winter 2024 collection, Satori, during Paris Haute Couture Week. Staged in an indoor room at Solum Paris, the show was curated by wearable art that weaved a magical story of nature.

Radhika Apte's multi-dimensional and multi-layered ensemble was a work of art. Radhika Apte showed off the look with panache. At the show, presented in collaboration with Tanishq, Radhika Apte adorned an opulent piece of diamond jewelery from the brand.

Describing the spectacular ensemble, which required over two months of hard work, Vaishali Shadangule says, “The outfit she wore is the most iconic in terms of the multi-layered and multi-dimensional approach. I must say that it was also the most demanding in terms of manual work. It took more than two months of precise work by six different people, followed by meticulous assembly and draping. “I really hope people can grasp the intensity, the depth and the many facets of it.”

When asked why she felt Radhika was perfect for the show, Vaishali says, “I always go by instinct and chemistry in my work. It's hard to give specific reasons for that, it just felt perfect.”

The show began with a contemporary dance performance with the performers dressed in flowing silhouettes in rich, sheer shades of burgundy and ivory. Creating a series of “aha” moments throughout the showcase, the runway came to life through creative draping and endless color combinations. The color scheme was subdued and serene, with shades such as pure white, soft beige and light gray symbolizing purity and clarity. Accents of deep indigo, deep burgundy and gold were used to signify enlightenment and spiritual wealth. Each drape paid homage to traditional Indian garments and values while maintaining a contemporary touch.

Each design that hit the runway evoked a sense of effortless grace and fluidity. Clean, streamlined silhouettes were enhanced with intricate handwork and subtle embellishments through patterns inspired by the energy of nature. Every garment showcased on the runway was enhanced with elegant jewelery pieces from Tanishq.

Vaishali S couture designs have been a continuous journey of self-discovery, from basic representations of nature and its energy to deeper and more adventurous discoveries. With Satori, Vaishali realized that everything he sought in reality was already within her and he just needed to free himself from all illusions.
