A global star known for her iconic work in films such as Julie & Julia, Devil Wears Prada, Mamma Mia, Out of Africa she returned to the 77th Cannes Film Festival after 35 years and received the festival's honorary Palme d'Or.
Meryl Streep received the Palme d'Or for Lifetime Achievement from French actress Juliette Binoche at the opening ceremony.
Walking the red carpet at the opening ceremony to attend the screening of the film Le Deuxième Acte (The Second Act), Meryl Streep, as guest of honor, looked divine in custom Dior couture gowns. The white silhouette was paired with statement Hanut Singh drop earrings from Fred Leighton jewellers, adding a sparkle to her chic monochrome look. She completed her comfortably chic look with a clutch from the Bella Rosa collection.
Designed by celebrity fashion stylist Micaela Erlanger, the vision was to capture Meryl's elegant personality. Speaking to News18 and describing Meryl's look, Micaela Erlanger says: “I wanted the overall look to authentically represent Meryl's grace, ease and timelessness. I think we captured that essence in the simplicity of this elegant look. The honor of the career is just that. Really spectacular. And to be a part of this incredible moment for her was nothing short of incredible.”
Before making a statement on the red carpet, Meryl had a cool and stylish moment during a photo shoot at the Cannes Film Festival. Meryl looked iconic and elegant in a white crepe pantsuit from the Michael Kors collection paired with a LilySilk striped shirt.
Meryl completed the look with a navy blue satin clutch from the Michael Kors collection, Zameer Kassam earrings, Jimmy Choo shoes, Gigi Burris hat, and Prada sunglasses.
