American singer, songwriter and actress Lady Gaga wore a black Dior haute couture gown and paired it with a Philip Treacy lace brimmed hat from 2001.

Lady Gaga's costume drama continued at the 81st Venice International Film Festival 2024, as the American singer, songwriter and actress walked the red carpet for her highly-anticipated film, Joker: Folie à Deux.

Lady Gaga made a statement in an all-black ensemble and made a classic entrance in the iconic lace-winged hat designed by famed hat designer Philip Treacy. The creative headpiece from 2001, once worn by legendary fashion editor Isabella Blow, who was also Philip’s muse, added a dramatic touch and flair to Lady Gaga’s monochromatic look. The lace detailing on the avant-garde structured artwork exuded drama, romance and mystery, just like a perfect movie plot.

The Dior couture gown featured a fitted, sleeveless velvet neckline and a voluminous skirt reminiscent of a sponge cake shape. Lady Gaga took over the red carpet with her presence as she twirled for the cameras and posed with her fiancé Michael Polansky. This moment also marked the couple's first red carpet appearance since their engagement.

When she arrived at the film festival, Lady Gaga was seen wearing an elegant short black dress with white polka dots.

Headpieces and hats have always contributed to Lady Gaga's style over the years. It is always an impressive sight when Lady Gaga combines art, music and fashion in her fashion choices.

Lady Gaga never fails to impress with her red carpet looks. After winning hearts at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with a creative ensemble that included black and pink feathers and an elegant bodysuit with a train, Gaga continued to opt for black for the film premiere at the Venice Film Festival.

The ongoing Venice Film Festival has seen a number of iconic stars make their presence felt with their looks on the red carpet. Celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Jenna Ortega, Winona Ryder, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Sophie Wilde, Julianne Moore, Tilda Swinton, Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig have all brought their best style to the film festival. The film festival, which is being held in Venice, Italy, will run until 7 September 2024.
