Kate Middleton's uncle predicted Harry will return to the UK and the royal family in a series of fiery comments about the Prince and his wife Meghan Markle.
Gary Goldsmith, brother of the Princess of Wales' mother Carole Middleton, also said he believed there was a “rewriting of history about how unhappy” the Duke of Sussex was, as the businessman opened up to his housemates in this year's reboot. Celebrity Big Brother.
Speaking to Sharon Osbourne on the reality show on Tuesday, the 58-year-old said of Harry: “I think it's really sad. At some point, I think he'll come back and be part of the gang; maybe it's necessary. “I think we are a very forgiving nation and I think everyone would give it a chance.”
Goldsmith, who owns a recruitment company, and Osbourne were among 13 celebrities who entered the house live on ITV1 as the show's 23rd series began on Monday night.
He admitted to being known as the royal family's “uncle”, or “bad uncle”, before making a series of revelations, as well as some critical comments about the Duchess of Sussex.
He said: “I have the feeling that Harry was really loved. When they were a trio, Kate, William and Harry, they seemed very comfortable together.
“Then all of a sudden an extra dynamic comes along, puts a stick in the spokes and creates so much drama that I really don't believe it was there, and rewrites the story and says how unhappy he was. And I just don't think that's fair.
“You can't throw your family under the bus, write books about it and then expect to be invited to spend Christmas.”

Goldsmith also spoke about Kate and his admiration for how she prioritizes her family. She said: “Kate is difficult to contact at the best of times, and she has children, and I love the fact that she puts her family first.”
When he came on stage preparing to enter the Big Brother house, the two new hosts, AJ Odudu and Will Best, asked Mr Goldsmith if the Princess would be watching the show. He jokingly responded, “If it is, it will be behind the couch,” and described the couch as “a nice one in a nice house.”
Speaking about Kate in a preview, he described her as “just perfect” and added: “The first time I met William, Catherine was cooking and William said, 'Hello, would you like a cup of tea?' So normal.”
Kensington Palace said last Friday that the princess was still “doing well” as she recovers from abdominal surgery she underwent last month. The Palace reiterated that “nothing has changed” as her health became subject to massive public speculation on social media.
Kate remains out of the public eye, although she was photographed being driven by her mother Carole Middleton near Windsor on Tuesday, according to gossip site TMZ.
Meanwhile, her husband, Prince William, abruptly pulled out of his godfather's funeral last week.
