Jennifer Lopez dazzled at her Bridgerton-themed birthday celebration wearing an exquisite ballgown by designer Manish Malhotra.
American actress and singer Jennifer Lopez celebrated her 55th birthday on July 24. She threw a Bridgerton-themed birthday party, which was attended by some of her closest friends. The Atlas actress looked like a regal queen, channeling the charm of the Regency era as she cut her birthday cake. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra shared a post on his Instagram account that featured Jennifer sitting on a throne wearing her creation. The designer revealed in his post that the custom-made dress took a total of 3,490 hours (almost 4 months) to complete, using handwork done by 40 of India’s finest artisans.
The deep grey gown includes a corset and a Victorian-style skirt. Both pieces feature hand-sewn floral motifs with sequins and over half a million crystals. It also featured metallic sequins in the shape of petals and rings that were treated to preserve the beautiful hue needed to create this ensemble. For a modern twist, the Victorian skirt also had a slit down the middle all the way to the knees.
Jennifer's look was styled by celebrity stylists Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi. To complement her Bridgerton-inspired gown, the diva's look featured a small chain with a heart-shaped pendant, square solitaire earrings, mesh gloves, and gold high heels.
Her makeup was equally impressive, as she opted for a vintage look. It included a matte foundation, smoky eyeshadow, defined brows, contoured cheeks, and mauve lipstick. Stylist Jesus Guerrero styled Jennifer's hair into a high, voluminous, curly bun. To enhance the Regency-era look, her bun was secured with a floral headband.
Jennifer also posted a video on Instagram, giving her followers a glimpse into her 1820s-style birthday party. From horse-drawn carriages to a live orchestra and ballroom dancers, Jennifer's lavish bash had all the elements of Bridgerton. We also get a glimpse of her second outfit, an off-the-shoulder green dress. It features heavy embroidery on the bodice, a plunging neckline, a flowing silhouette, and elegantly bound sleeves. The bottom of the dress flows elegantly, allowing her to move with ease. She completed her look with the same accessories and makeup.
