Hannah Waddingham carries cardboard bag made by her daughter to the SAG Awards


Hannah Waddingham walked the 2024 SAG Awards red carpet with a special accessory: a bag made by her nine-year-old daughter Kitty.

The 49-year-old actress walked the red carpet at the awards show on February 24, when she was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Ted Lasso. The award finally went to Ayo Edebiri for her role in Bear.

For the occasion, Waddingham wore a sparkly, maroon, off-the-shoulder dress with a slit. He also had curly blonde hair and nude nails, as his accessories included a ring and a silver bracelet. However, he paired the glamorous outfit with a more casual accessory, a cardboard bag made by his daughter, which he shares with his ex Gianluca Cugnetto.

The cardboard bag had multicolored drawings and the word “epic” written on it. It was also rectangular in shape, with an opening at the top and a white paper handle.

During the event's pre-show on the Netflix red carpet, Waddingham went on to show off her bag, before explaining that she was the one who wanted to carry it to the ceremony.

“My daughter wanted to contribute, so she made me a bag,” she said. “She told me, 'You know, Mommy, you don't need to… you don't need to take it.' And I said, 'No, she's going to the red carpet with me.' Imagine, my stylist was like, 'Wait, what?'”

She went on to express how much she prioritizes being a mother, even in the midst of her busy career. “It's the most important thing,” she said of having children. “This is all great, but this is the most important thing.”

Throughout her Hollywood career, Waddingham has spoken candidly about managing her time with her family. During an interview with Glamor UK In October, she opened up about why she waited until she was 40 to become a mother.
