It was quite magical to see Deepika Padukone at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Sangeet ceremony on Friday evening at the NMACC in Mumbai. Wearing a stunning custom-designed organza sari named ‘Hukum ki Raani’ by renowned designer Karan Torani, the Bollywood queen, who is known for her timeless beauty and exquisite taste, looked ravishing. The sari, which took over 3,400 hours of work to make, was inspired by the Chaukhandi Tombs in Karachi and the Chowmahalla Palace in Hyderabad, which dates back to the 16th century.
The Hukum ki Raani saree, priced at Rs 139,500, is the perfect combination of elegance and style. The saree was a statement piece for its deep violet colour, which is often associated with royalty, as well as its elaborate stitching and embellishments.
