Cardi B and Offset celebrated their son's birthday separately amid their ongoing divorce proceedings.

On Instagram, the former hip hop couple shared separate posts to honor their son Wave Set, who turned three. Amid their public divorce after six years of marriage, they shared carousels of photos from Wave's airplane-themed birthday party.

In the photos, the Migos rapper, 32, showed himself and his son dancing on the dance floor, with Wave posing with his stepbrothers Jordan, 14, and Kody, nine, Offset's children from previous relationships.

“God’s greatest gift is a son…” Offset wrote in the caption of the post. “My youngest son turned three today. Happy birthday Wave Set! I love you son.”

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old “I Like It” rapper posted photos of herself holding Wave in her arm. She also added a sweet throwback video to the post that shows the rapper holding him and bottle-feeding him as a newborn. She captioned her post, “Happy Birthday to my son Wavey Man.”

“I was so happy when I found out I was having a baby, and then all of a sudden I got really scared when I found out I was having a boy. I’m such a girly girl,” she continued. “You made it so easy to fit me in that mommy duffel bag. My baby loves his mommy so much. I’ll always have your back, your front, and your sides.”

In her photos, Cardi also showed off her pregnant belly, her third child with her ex-partner.

Cardi B and Offset, born Belcalis Almanzar and Kiari Cephus respectively, secretly tied the knot on September 20, 2017, in Atlanta. Then, in 2020, Cardi filed for divorce from Offset, but the couple eventually rekindled their romance.

Unfortunately, according to Page sixA rep for Cardi B has confirmed that the rapper has filed for divorce again after six years of marriage. She is reportedly seeking primary custody of their children: Kulture, six, and Wave, three.

Despite rumors that Offset was unfaithful, a source explained that the “Bodak Yellow” rapper filed for divorce because the two had grown apart.

“They have grown apart. That’s what drove her to make this decision more than anything else,” the source told the outlet. “This is something she wants to do.”

She later announced her pregnancy with her third child on Instagram on Thursday, August 1. In the photo, she showed off her baby bump, rocking an all-red ensemble with a fur coat. She captioned the photo, “With every ending comes a new beginning! I’m so grateful to have shared this season with you, you’ve brought me more love, more life, and most of all, you’ve renewed my power!”

She continued, “You reminded me that I can have it all! You reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and I can’t wait for you to witness what you helped me achieve, what you pushed me to do!”

“It’s much easier to accept life’s twists and turns and let the trials pass, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth keeping going,” she concluded.
