“It's funny because people say, 'Oh, nepotism,' and I say no. My dad is a DP [director of photography, another term for cinematographer]. Nobody gets a job because their father is a cinematographer. It definitely isn’t,” he said.

However, she acknowledged that she received some “creative” help from her parents throughout her acting career.

“My mom is an actress and my dad is a cinematographer and director. “I can’t emphasize enough how much creative help I received from my family unit,” the New Girl star continued. “My dad is a great creative mind and a very talented person. My mom is a great actress and she is very affectionate. My mom trained me when she didn't have an acting coach, she helped me, she read lines with me. “She would be a great support.”

In addition to sharing her thoughts on the term “nepo baby,” Frankel also took to social media to express how protective she is of her son. Frankel continued: “The only thing you can't criticize is my way of parenting. It's the most important thing for me. I appreciate it. I'm on the case, and you better keep walking and take a seat. Because I’ll come to your house and fuck you myself.”
