Beanie Feldstein has revealed that one of her wedding guests caught her “naked” on the day of the ceremony.
While remembering their wedding day during an appearance on Monday, February 12 on Late Night with Seth MeyersThe 30-year-old actress revealed that her nuptials to longtime girlfriend Bonnie Chance-Roberts went off without a hitch, except for one hilariously awkward encounter.
The situation occurred while she was preparing for the ceremony. She had just gotten out of the shower when she headed to her nightstand to check the time, only to forget that she hadn't closed the curtains of the cabin she was staying in. Abby, one of his wife's friends, was the one to catch her.
“I'm hunched over, naked, and looking up, like a pixie in the night, and Abby, Bon's friend, is standing at the glass door,” Feldstein recalled. “I've never screamed so loud in my entire life.”
“Because this is the worst way you want to be seen, let alone being naked on your wedding day,” she continued. “So Abby really scared me. But other than that, it was perfect.”
Feldstein and his wife made handwritten vows to each other at a former lakeside summer camp.
“He was so calm,” Feldstein told Meyers. “I could just look at her and listen to her words, and it was perfect.”
He added that his close friend, Tony Award winner Ben Platt, sang James Taylor's “Something in the Way She Moves” during his first dance with his wife. She credited Platt's performance of the song for making his wedding that much more magical and unforgettable. She gushed: “It was just Ben's buttery voice, accompanied by James and Bon, and we danced, it was so nice.”
Another famous friend, Sarah Paulson, was also at the wedding as one of Feldstein's bridesmaids. After connecting in the set Impeachment: American Crime Story, the pair remained close friends.
“When I asked her to be my maid of honor, she started crying, in such a sweet way,” Feldstein shared a photo of Paulson crying during the ceremony. “Obviously, at the wedding, she was overwhelmed.”
