Alec Baldwin expressed his “gratitude” after his manslaughter case in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was dismissed.

The 66-year-old actor took to Instagram on Saturday to speak out to those who have supported him, nearly three years after a prop gun Baldwin was holding went off during a rehearsal for the film. Oxide in 2021, killing Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

“There are too many people who have supported me to thank now,” Baldwin wrote in his Instagram post, which included a photo of him sitting inside the New Mexico courtroom. “To all of you, you will never know how much I appreciate your kindness to my family.”

In the comments section, Baldwin's fans and friends offered words of encouragement for the 30 Rock star.

“We love you,” comedian Amy Sedaris wrote, along with three red heart emojis.

“Heal yourself. Then come roaring back to life,” the former Access to Hollywood presenter Billy Bush.

Baldwin's eldest daughter, Ireland Baldwin, shared her own tribute to her father following Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer's dismissal on Friday.

The 28-year-old model, whom Baldwin shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger, posted an old photo of herself with the Beetle juice actor on Instagram.

The image showed Baldwin lying on a couch with a young Ireland sitting on his lap as the father smiled at his daughter, making a goofy face. She simply captioned the post with a black heart emoji.

On July 12, Alec Baldwin broke down in tears and hugged his attorneys and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, in a New Mexico courtroom after Judge Sommer dismissed his manslaughter charges in Hutchins' death.

Sommer dismissed the case with prejudice, citing misconduct by police and prosecutors in withholding evidence from the defense. The state was found to have withheld evidence that could have shed light on how live ammunition got onto the set. Oxide Film, where the young cinematographer was shot dead.

“There is no way for the court to right this wrong,” Sommer said, adding that dismissing the case was necessary to ensure “the integrity of the judicial system.”

“The late discovery of this evidence during the trial has impeded the effective use of it in such a way as to affect the fundamental fairness of the proceedings,” Judge Sommer said. “If this conduct does not rise to the level of bad faith, it certainly comes so close to it that it shows signs of being serious.”

Prosecutors will not be able to re-charge Baldwin for Hutchins' death.

In March, Oxide Gunsmith Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in Hutchins' death and sentenced to 18 months in prison. Gutierrez-Reed's attorneys said they will ask that her case be dismissed following Baldwin's firing.

The issue came up Thursday, on the second day of the actor's trial, during the defense's questioning of sheriff's crime scene technician Marissa Poppell. Sommer finally put a pause on the trial early Friday while she considered the defense's motion to dismiss the case because of the evidence.
