Aishwarya Arjun's bridal saree depicts the coronation of Lord Ram


Aishwarya Arjun, daughter of actor Arjun Sarja, married Umapathy Ramaiah, son of actor-turned-director Thambi Ramaiah in Chennai.

Exuding timeless opulence, Aishwarya Arjun's vibrant kanjeevaram silk saree was designed by Gaurang Shah and styled by Eka Lakhani.

Actor Aishwarya Arjun, daughter of renowned South action king, actor Arjun Sarja, married director Umapathy Ramaiah, son of celebrated actor-turned-director Thambi Ramaiah in Chennai on June 10, 2024.

Exuding timeless opulence in a custom kanjeevaram silk saree designed by renowned fashion designer Gaurang Shah, Aishwarya paired the exquisite drape with a zardozi embroidered blouse.

The traditional red and gold silk saree added vibrancy to Aishwarya's bridal look. Celebrity fashion stylist Eka Lakhani, who styled Aishwarya on her big day, took to Instagram to congratulate the couple and also spoke about the inspiration behind the traditional saree.

Exuding timeless opulence, the custom kanjeevaram silk saree was designed by renowned fashion designer Gaurang Shah.

Eka said: “We met at the beginning of our careers and although we weren't able to work together then, it means a lot to finally be able to share this special day with her after all these years. This trip has been incredibly beautiful. It has been an absolute pleasure to be associated with Aishwarya, Arjun Sir and the entire family. Wishing you and Umapathy a life full of love and magic as you embark on this new chapter.”

Describing the wedding attire, Eka added, “Custom @gaurangofficial pure silk Kanjivaram saree, woven with a depiction of Ram's coronation. The designs are inspired by the wall sculptures of the traditional temples of Kanchipuram, the birthplace of pure Kanjivaram silk. The blouse shares this intricate design on the border and is embellished with pure zardosi embroidery all over.”

The intricate details of Lord Ram's coronation woven in gold and the radiant red hue of the saree were beautifully complemented by the traditional jewelery designed by Kishandas & Co. Aishwarya's natural beauty was enhanced with minimal makeup done by the famous makeup and hair artists Anchit and Aakash from Twins are Magic. Aishwarya's custom mehendi was designed by Jyoti Chheda. The couple's magical wedding moments were captured by Naman Verma.

Complementing his girlfriend Aishwarya, Umapathy Ramaiah adorned a traditional silk zari veshti set designed by clothing brand Kanakavalli.

Aishwarya and Umapathy kicked off their pre-wedding festivities in Chennai in early June. The festivities began with Aishwarya celebrating the haldi ceremony at his residence in Chennai surrounded by family and close friends. Dressed in a simple white kurta, her outfit beautifully captured Aishwarya's minimalist and elegant style.

The couple hosted an intimate mehendi ceremony at Aishwarya's house, where she looked like a ray of sunshine in a yellow Anamika Khanna ensemble.

Aishwarya will soon be seen in her first Telugu film, entering a new realm with a role that showcases her versatility. Umapathy recently debuted as a director with Rajakili and is now planning his next directorial film.
