Adele Shares Her Honest Complaint About Spanx Too Small During Concert: 'Very Stressful'

Adele has shared her candid thoughts about wearing Spanx that were too small for her during her concert.

The singer, 36, opened up about wearing shapewear during a recent performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, which was part of her Las Vegas residency. In footage from the show shared by a fan on TikTok, Adele acknowledged that she was initially unsure about wearing her full-body Spanx as they were not the right size for her.

“I had to wear these Spanx that were a size small,” she said, while sitting on a bench in front of her piano. “It was like pumping sausage meat. She was very stressful and I was thinking about not wearing a pair of Spanx tonight, but I thought, 'Oh no, that's too risky.'”

The “Hello” singer said that while she still “managed to fit” the pair of Spanx, she was worried they would be too tight during the show.

“It's made me look great, but I'm nervous that maybe they'll cut my blood or something,” she joked. “So if I faint halfway through the show, don't worry, that's why.

In another video from the concert, Adele described how she has always been a big fan of Spanx, noting that she has bought them from the same brand since her teenage years.

“Now you can get all kinds of shapewear, but I trust [my Spanx]. He used them since he was 16 years old. So I trust them, it's like half my life,” she said. “My favorite pair of Spanx are the full body Spanx.”

While showing off the black Spanx she was wearing under her dress, she acknowledged why she wears them to most of her concerts. “I know they're not sexy. But I like to feel confident in all my dresses.”

However, Adele later shared that, sadly, her “favorite pair” of Spanx was being discontinued. “Everyone I know has panicked buying what's left in the stores,” she explained. “There probably aren't many people who want to wear full-body Spanx.”

Throughout her shows at her Las Vegas residency, which began in 2022 and will conclude in November, Adele has continued to have interactive moments with her fans. In a concert video shared last week, the “Hello” singer walked through the halls of The Colosseum theater, passing crowds of adoring guests. At one point, Adele had a touching moment with a child and began serenading him in front of the microphone. The boy immediately opened his mouth wide in shock, before she waved at him and caressed his cheek.

After Adele hit a high note, she gave the boy a smile and a pat on the shoulder as she continued walking through the theater. Meanwhile, the boy apparently couldn't believe what had just happened and turned to give his adult companion a big hug.

Also during a concert on June 1, Adele applauded an allegedly homophobic interlocutor when they shouted “Pride sucks” at her show. As the “Hello” singer commemorated the start of Pride Month, which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community, she became enraged when an anonymous man loudly criticized the movement.

“You came on my damn show and said Pride sucks? Are you fucking stupid? Don't be so fucking ridiculous. If you don't have anything nice to say, shut up, okay? said Adele, in a video that has since gone viral on social media.
