Spinach
Spinach loves slightly cool, humid conditions, making early and pre-monsoon rains ideal. Sow seeds directly into shallow trays or wide pots (at least 20 to 25cm deep) filled with rich, loose soil. Keep them in a place with bright light but protect them from heavy rain. Harvest leaves regularly to encourage new growth.

methi
Methi is one of the easiest monsoon vegetables. Scatter the seeds densely in shallow containers and cover lightly with soil. It germinates quickly and does not need deep pots, making it perfect for pots with railings. Keep the soil moist, not waterlogged. Cut the young leaves to make methi parathas and curries within 20 to 25 days.

Amaranth
Amaranth thrives in humid climates and gives you tender leaves and, later, seeds if you let it mature. Sow seeds in medium-depth pots or grow bags. It tolerates some exposure to rain, but ensures good drainage. Regular harvesting of young leaves keeps plants compact and productive.

Hindi
Okra loves heat and humidity. Use deep pots or grow bags (30cm+), one or two plants per container. Sow the seeds directly, keep them in full sun and protect the pots from strong wind. Once the plants are established, they withstand the monsoons well. Harvest the pods when they are young and tender.

pumpkins
Pumpkins are natural climbers suitable for terrace and balcony railings. Sow seeds in deep pots and provide a sturdy trellis, rope or railing for vines to climb. Place containers where they get good sun and some rain, but avoid stagnant water. Train the vines upward to save floor space and enjoy the hanging fruits.

chilies
Chili peppers are perfect for pots. Start seeds or small nursery plants in containers 20 to 25 cm deep. They like sun and moderate watering. Before the heavy monsoon arrives, make sure the pots have drainage and move them slightly indoors so that the flowers and fruits are not damaged by the heavy rain.

Radish
Radish is a fast crop for cool, moist conditions. Use deep containers (because roots need space) with loose soil and no stones. Sow the seeds directly and keep the soil evenly moist. In small spaces, you can grow a short row in a long rectangular pot and harvest in a few weeks.
