Kate Middleton “could” file a lawsuit against the person responsible for allegedly illegally accessing her medical documents, an expert has revealed.
Sharing information about what could happen to the perpetrator if they are caught, lawyer and legal expert Neama Rahmani shared that the Princess of Wales “can always file” a lawsuit for “invasion of privacy.”
He said us weekly, “Kate can always file a civil lawsuit for invasion of privacy,” adding, “If she wants to go after the perpetrator and tell them that her privacy rights were violated, she absolutely can.”
Rahmani, who is not part of the ongoing investigation, further said it would be “easy to catch” the perpetrator, while also revealing what the future holds for them once they are caught.
“At this point it's pretty clear, every time a file or a site is accessed, who does it,” the expert said, adding: “Actually, the question is whether the perpetrator simply tried to access the data or was able to do it”. Do you really see it? In which case that would be a very serious violation.”
“Obviously, a doctor, a nurse or a medical professional would be licensed and there would be a body that would regulate them. Then there could be some administrative sanction,” he added.
“They could be suspended or even lose their license entirely. “
According to Ingrid Seward, Kate Middleton suffered another “emotional upset” after her medical records were illegally accessed at The London Clinic.
The breach of privacy left the Princess of Wales “shocked” as she has been very cautious about not revealing details of her health problems since her abdominal surgery to the public.
