A video of Prime Minister's political and public affairs adviser Rana Sanaullah has been circulating on social media, showing him enjoying a boat ride with his wife in Paris.
The video appeared on TikTok during Sanaullah's overseas visit to attend the 11th Commonwealth Sports Ministers' Conference and the Paris Olympics.
When the video went viral, it drew criticism from his political opponents, who slammed the leader of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for “enjoying family vacations” in Paris on taxpayers' money while he was sent to attend official events.
The prime minister's aide, who also holds the portfolio of Federal Minister for Interprovincial Coordination, flew to the French capital on an official visit last month to attend the opening ceremony of the international multi-sport event along with Pakistani athletes.
He also represented the country at the meeting of 11 Commonwealth Sports Ministers on 24-25 July.
During his visit, the federal minister also attended the “Change The Game” Ministerial Forum at UNESCO and took part in the discussion focused on “harnessing quality physical education and sport to achieve sustainable social legacies,” the state broadcaster reported. Pay TV reported.
