Government and opposition leaders have asked for political unity after the mortal terrorist attack against Jaffar Express, the train that was kidnapped in Baluchistan Bolan.
The forbidden Baloch Liberation Army (Bla), during Tuesday's attack against Jaffar Express, exploded the train tracks and kept around 440 passengers as hostages in a one -day confrontation with security services in a remote mountain pass.
The Army, after cleaning the train and rescuing the hostages, said it killed 33 attackers. Before the operation began, the terrorists had killed 21 passengers, while four security personnel were martyred during op.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said a meeting of the country's leadership to hold consultations on the issue of terrorism as was done after the attack on the public school of the army in Peshawar.
“We needed national unity and solidarity to provide support to the Armed Forces to fight terrorism and Khawarij,” he said during a meeting with political leadership in Quetta.
At the same time, without appointing Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), he lamented the language used by some elements within the country against the Armed Forces and Pakistan.
“The poisoned propaganda against the Armed Forces was not acceptable and tolerable,” he warned.
Meanwhile, in his speech at the National Assembly, the president of the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, said that all the political parties present in the lower house should admit that the terrorists who were involved in the attack against Jaffar Express and other terrorist acts were their common enemies.
He argued that if political leadership does not develop a consensus on the issue, the threat would extend to the country, to the entire region and the world.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif regretted that the PTI had established a condition to sit with the government against terrorism, demanding the liberation of its founder, Imran Khan, on probation first.

In addition, the National Assembly also unanimously approved a resolution that strongly condemns the kidnapping of Jaffar Express and all acts of terrorism that endanger the lives of people and interrupt peace.
The resolution transferred by the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Chaudhry with signatures of representatives of all parties, the appreciated army of Pakistan, the Pakistan Air Force, the border body, the SSG and other agencies of application of the law by its unwavering commitment, courage and sacrifice in the safeguardia of the lives of citizens and protect the integrity of Pakistan.
The Chamber expressed the resolution to take all possible measures to eliminate terrorism from all corners of the country, stating that no group, individual and ideology that seeks to undermine security, prosperity and sovereignty of the nation could spread the fear, hatred and violence within the country's territorial limits.
He also promised not to allow any terrorist activity not to be controlled, ensuring that whoever tries to destabilization faces full force of the law.
PTI's secretary general, Salman Akram Raja, described the attack of Jaffar Express as a national tragedy and insisted that “the distances between people and the real voice of Pakistan.”
“It is important to understand the current situation facing the country and this is the time to listen to Pakistan's true voice, especially Baluchistan. Instead of eliminating any party, the unity path must be adopted,” he said in a statement.
The opposition leader in the Senate and PTI leader, Senator Shibli Faraz, demanded an APC on the issue of terrorism in Baluchistan. He said that the founder of PTI must also be released on probation and invited to the proposed APC.
Sahibzada Hamid Raza, head of the Sunita Ittehad Council and an ally of the PTI, while talking in Geo News' The “Capital Talk” program also emphasized the urgent need for a national dialogue to address Baluchistan's problems.
