The cause of death of Michelle Trachtenberg has come to light more than a month after the “Ice Princess” and “Harriet The Spy” star died in his New York city department.
The Chief Medical Office of New York City said Wednesday that he determined that Trachtenberg died of complications of diabetes mellitus, The Times confirmed. Diabetes mellitus, according to Mayo Clinic, refers to a group of diseases that affect the way the body uses blood sugar.
The office did not reveal details about the specific complications that led to the death of Trachtenberg. The authorities also considered their natural death.
Trachtenberg, who was also known for his work at “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” and “Gossip Girl”, died on February 26. The actor was found dead in his luxury apartment for his mother, police confirmed to The Times in February. She was 39 years old.
Days after the sudden death of Trachtenberg, the New York City Medenicin Office said the official cause and the death of the actor would remain indeterminate, citing his family's request. At that time, for religious reasons, Trachtenberg's loved ones opposed an autopsy performed at the actor “Pete & Pete adventures.”
It is said that Trachtenberg, the son of immigrants who grew up in Brooklyn speaking English and Russian, was Jewish. In that faith, autopsies are usually not performed because it is believed that bodies are sacred and should not be manipulated after death.

The office did not immediately respond to Times's investigation of whether he performed an autopsy to determine the cause and form of death of Trachtenberg, but said he had reached his results “after reviewing the results of the laboratory tests.”
Shortly after the news of Trachtenberg's death was extended, several of his co -star paid tribute to social networks. The star Blake Lively of “ends with us”, who shared the screen with Trachtenberg in “Gossip Girl”, said that the native of New York City “was fiercely loyal with his friends and brave for those who loved, was big and bold and clearly she herself.”
