Bruce Willis' daughter Tallulah Willis has responded to internet trolls for making rude comments about her and her sisters' appearance.
On Monday, her older sister Scout Willis posted a dance video on Instagram to promote her new song, “Over and Over.” The video featured her sister Rumer Willis, mother Demi Moore, actor Patrick Hilgart and floral designer Eric Buterbaugh. “I must be God’s favorite baby nepo to have such a supportive family. If they can learn it, so can you,” Scout wrote in the caption.
Some commentators decided it was an opportune moment to denigrate the sisters' appearance.
Among the sarcastic comments, one said the brothers weren't “handsome” but proceeded to praise “Striptease” actor Moore. Another spread the hate a little further, calling them “scary.”
“Hi! You’ve probably already seen the viral video of our family dancing in unison to @scoutlaruewillis’ new single. We love this video!” Tallulah said in a now-deleted Instagram post, Page Six reported. “What a joy to share. People always seemed shocked when we shared how cruel and mean the comments about us have been throughout our lives, so it’s important to me to call out the haters online.
Tallulah has faced a number of challenges throughout her 30 years and has shared her struggles with her followers. In March, she sent her love to her father in an Instagram comment; Willis has been diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.
That same month, she revealed her autism diagnosis, which she says changed her life. And about body image issues, she posted: “Babies in recovery from eating disorders: sending you all my love.”
There's nothing better than countering internet hate with a little love.
