Shannen Doherty Opens Up About Regrets Related to Her Hit Drama 90210admitting that he was unprofessional in his final days on the set of the show due to his marital problems.
Talking about it on his podcast Let's be clear with Shannen DohertAnd, 52-year-old guest co-star Jason Priestley of the teen series.
“I was in a really horrible marriage, and there were things going on in that marriage that made it very difficult for me to get to work on time,” she said.
Noting: “And I know that became a very big problem for the rest of you, as it should.”
Her ex-husband Ashley Hamilton was allegedly falling prey to addiction, which the actress revealed was sowing discord in their relationship.
Meanwhile, the showrunners fired Shannen's character, Brenda Walsh, due to constant disturbances on the set in 1994.
Now, the Memphis native reflected on her behavior and wished she had had a conversation about her condition with the show's producers.
“It wasn't anyone's responsibility on my part, but I wish they would have sat me down and looked at me and said, 'Listen, the bottom line is going to be this: They're going to fire you and that's it. We're willing to take it anymore,'” Shannen continued.
“And I understand that you have a problem in your personal life, but that can't translate to work either and you need to recover.”
