Sean Kingston will be 3 and a half years in prison for the fraud scheme

The creator of “Beautiful Girls”, Sean Kingston, will spend three and a half years after the bars for his participation in a scheme of months that defrauded the businesses of luxury goods of more than $ 1 million.

The US district judge, David Leibowitz, issued the 35 -year -old interpreter judgment on Friday, months after a Florida jury condemned the singer (born Kisean Paul Anderson) and his mother, Janice Turner, in March for a conspiracy charge to commit electronic fraud and four charges of fraud to the cable each.

“We respect the decision of the Court and the judicial process,” said Kingston's lawyer, Zeljka Bozanic, to The Times in a statement. Bozanic said Kingston's defense team is “happy.” The court opted for a shorter prison sentence, the government had requested five years in prison) and said that “most of the restitution in this case was returned, even before these charges were presented.”

“Sean is taking this as a learning experience and will continue to advance in a positive direction,” Bozanic added. “We are actively reviewing all the available options, including potential appeals, to ensure that their rights are fully protected.”

During his appearance in the Court in a court of the court in southern Florida on Friday, Kingston apologized to the judge and said he had learned from his actions. Under the house arrest since his conviction, Kingston was immediately arrested despite the request of a defense lawyer for Kingston highway at a later date due to health problems. Before the sentence, Bozanic filed a sentence memorandum requesting that the court consider a shorter sentence.

“Mr. Anderson accepted the responsibility in this case and has taken all the positive steps towards the learning and growth of this situation,” Bozanic said in the memorandum, which also describes the previous charitable acts of the singer. The document indicates that Kingston “has never before fulfilled imprisonment” and that a “high sentence is not necessary to deter future behavior.”

Federal prosecutors in the southern district of Florida accused Kingston and their mother of cheating more than $ 480,000 in a person's jewels and, from others, a Cadillac Escalade worth almost $ 160,000 and furniture that costs more than $ 86,500. Prosecutors said Kingston and his mother also stole more than $ 200,000 from Bank of America and more than $ 100,000 of the First Republic Bank, accusations that initially denied.

Swat officers descended in Florida's house “Take You there they” last May. His mother was arrested during the raid and Kingston was arrested shortly after, near the base of the Army of Fort Iwin, in San Bernardino County. Turner was sentenced to five years in prison last month.

Kingston increased to popularity in the early 2000s for “Beautiful Girls”, which shows “Stand by me” by Ben E. King. He is also known for the songs “Eenie Meenie”, “Fire Burning” and “Me Love”.
